Welcome to the website of the American Red Cross Southwest Washington Chapter Youth Council, the home of one of the strongest Red Cross youth programs in the state of Washington.
We are a group of high school student leaders throughout the Southwest Washington Chapter of the American Red Cross. We run several events throughout the year to benefit our local American Red Cross chapter as well as the Red Cross at the national and international levels. In addition to planning, organizing, and running events, we coordinate activities done by Red Cross clubs in our area's high schools, as well as even a middle school and elementary school club, such as Gatorade/sports drink drive for local disaster victims and responders and a Measles Initiative campaign that raised thousands of dollars for the international Measles Initiative.
Our most recent event is the Leadership Development Camp (LDC), on January 12 and 13, 2008. Learn more by clicking here!
The application deadline for the 2008-2009 term. However, we are still looking for representatives from Camas HS, Evergreen HS, Heritage HS, VSAA, and Fort Vancouver HS. If you are from one of these schools, we will continue to accept applications. Otherwise, please check back next year. Click here to download the application!
